“Hi, I’m Martin, a photographer based in the North East of England“

My photographic journey began as a child, with a borrowed 110 film camera. At 14 years of age I purchased a 35mm Minolta SLR with two kit lenses.  I set-up a dark room at my school and produced a series of black and white images of local churches.   It was this process that inspired my exploration of places and subjects, creating images and bringing them to life in print.

Over the years I have travelled extensively and combined my love of photography with my love of exploring.  I love the excitement of capturing a unique moment or seeing my artistic vision in print.  

Moving to County Durham I worked as a Freelance Photographer alongside other contracted work.  Here I focused on my sporting events company, assisting local wedding photographers, stock imaging and some local and national press work. I now enjoy a more personal and creative approach to my photography, producing digital art, blogging, and exploring alternative techniques.
